A great new competition for 13-19 year olds on the Isle of Wight. Ed
A team of students from the Isle of Wight have been working under the guidance of Island artist Tim Johnson and Quay Arts’ Exhibitions Organiser, Georgia Newman to curate an exhibition in The West Gallery of young Island artists’ work.
The Young Curators will be working on every aspect of curating the exhibition – from designing the brief and selecting the work, to installing in the gallery and marketing the show, right up to its grand opening.
Call for entries
The Young Curators are looking for works from Island based young people aged 13-19, which respond to the theme ‘Where are you going?’
The entrants’ work can reflect the theme in any way they choose – the Young Curators are looking for imaginative, perceptive and visually exciting pieces in any media from individuals, groups or from schools.
The entrants’ interpretation does not have to be literal, or fully answer the question; they can explore the theme in any way that they choose to.
