Yarmouth Harbour on the Isle of Wight became the focus of attention just before 9pm on Saturday night after a fishing boat was secured by armed police.
The RNLI had been at the location, providing aid to the vessel before the police’s arrival.
Three individuals were taken into custody, suspected of possessing Class A drugs with the intent to distribute.
Ongoing investigation
Hampshire and Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed the seizure of a boat as a component of their inquiry.
The arrested individuals include a 40-year-old Windsor resident, a 54-year-old from Gosport, and another 40-year-old man from Portsmouth.
The force is actively working to understand the complete details surrounding the boat’s presence and activity at the harbour.
