Tim Johnson is an Island-based artist of many hats – costume; photography; performance art; teaching – and another, one that he’s woven himself out of basket material (he’s a basket maker too).
You could well have seen one of his domes around the Island, including some that are made from living vegetation, so continuing to grow.
You might also have seen his recent week-long residency – Old Kingdom – at Quay Arts with Chris Jenkins.
Well, the clever old stick (twig?) has been picked as Maker of the Month, by the Ideas in the Making website.
Diana Woolf, from the site, delves into what makes him tick and shares it with the Web, with the piece illustrated by the Tim’s lovely photos.
Pop over and have a read.
