East Cowes resident and local businessman Allan Marsh has created a fantastic time-lapse video.
During the storms last night, he set up his camera to record the comings and goings of the floating bridge.
At a time when people would not want to leave their houses, the floating bridge was still running to serve those who relied on it last night.
Set to tranquil music, we think you’ll agree that the footage is fascinating.
Seeing the bridge travelling back and forth, watching the foot passengers and cars board and alight is hypnotic (perhaps it was the music).
