St. Mary’s Church in Carisbrooke will be playing host to a three hour charity bell ringing marathon next month.
The ‘Full Peal’ is taking place to celebrate the work of George Hibberd at the Island’s hospice, with all funds raised going to the charity.
If you’d like to go along an experience the bell ringing, we’re told that a good place to listen will be inside of the beautiful church itself or outside in the village weather permitting.
If you’re interested in learning more about Tower Bellringing, there’ll be bellringers will be “On hand” to answer any questions about the very English “Art and Science of Tower Bellringing”.
And of course, they wouldn’t let you go hungry or thirsty whilst enjoying the peal, there’ll be refreshments on offer at the Village Hall between 9.30am and 12.30pm.
