As you would’ve seen from our travel post and social media update Island Line’s train service that usually runs to the Pier Head in Ryde has been suspended due to high tides.
It’s uncertain as to when the service might be resumed, as there’s been some movement in the Conductor rail that provides power to drive the train.
A combination of the high tide and severe winds means that the Conductor rail has shifted.
The tide will need to drop before an inspection can take place, to understand what work will need to be carried out.
