That’s the advice coming from Southampton City Council in advance of the grand opening of the IKEA store tomorrow.
IKEA will have about 1000 parking spaces available for eager shoppers and if you’re travelling from the Island, don’t forget to check the Red Funnel passenger ferry and Red Jet timetables before you leave.
If you’re going by Red Jet, it’s a really short walk (less than 10 mins) from the terminal, but there should be plenty of taxis available if you don’t fancy the stroll.
