Whilst we’re on the subject of fundraising, if you fancy taking part in a charity event that is a bit more adventurous than a walk across the Island or a parachute jump, then how about a 10 day trek along the Great Wall of China in October 2010?
Fundraisers at the Earl Mountbatten Hospice are on the lookout for some ‘hardy adventurers and enthusiastic fundraisers’, to take on what could be the challenge of a lifetime.
The 10 day trip starts in the small village of Huangyaguan and ends up in picturesque Juyongguan with at least seven days trekking along the Great Wall itself.
The Hospice will give their full support in helping to raise the £3,000 needed for each person and full training, support and advice will also be part of the package for anyone looking to take part.
As well as raising much needed cash for the Hospice, you’ll also be able to get a great insight into rural Chinese life, making this perhaps one of the more unforgettable experiences of your life.
If this is something that floats your boat, then get in touch with fundraising assistant Ben Rust on 528989 or email him ben.rust(at)emhfunding.com
Don’t forget to say where you heard about it.
