TV Star Ben Fogle To Launch Isle of Wight Walking Festival

TO HELP celebrate 10 years of the Isle of Wight walking festival, action man TV presenter Ben Fogle will be launching the event next May when he stars in a magical adventure night at the Medina Theatre.

Ben shot to fame when he appeared as a castaway on the remote Scottish island of Taransay for the then groundbreaking ‘reality TV’ show ‘Castaway 2000.’

Since his appearance on the show, Ben has become an accomplished television presenter starring in shows such as Animal Park, Countryfile and Wild in Africa.

He has also rowed across the Atlantic Ocean in a record breaking 49 days with Olympic oarsman James Cracknell.

Ben also recently set the world record for sailing from Portsmouth to Cork in the Big V sailing race along with his wife Marina.

During the fun filled night at the theatre which takes place on May 3 next year, Ben will be chatting about his previous adventures and what he plans to do in the future.

There will also be an opportunity for a question and answer session at the end of the evening.

Sharing the evening’s events with Ben will be International Magician and Psychological Illusionist, Rod Newman.

Rod’s show will take you on a journey of magical adventure, incoporating Ordnance Survey maps into breathtaking unforgettable acts that involve audience participation blended with Rod’s own style of humour.

The audience are likely to be left with experiences that are talked about long after the event.

Tickets for the show are on sale at £12/£9.50 concessions.
