As we mentioned earlier in the week Newport IW play Salisbury City in the FA Cup second qualifying round today.
Steve Brougham, Newport IW Manager says, “Saturday is a different ball game. Salisbury are a good side but we’ll give it our best shot.
“They are three leagues higher than us; they should beat us, they’re expected to beat us but it’s great for the club as it puts Newport IW back on the map and it puts us in the limelight on the Isle of Wight which is where Newport should be.
“The support from the fans is going to be absolutely crucial Saturday, it’s going to be a really important first 20 mins but if we can get through that, who knows what might happen.”
