Reports of criminal damage to cars on the Isle of Wight are prompting a police appeal for information.
Five vehicles parked on the seafront between Totland Pier and the Waterfront restaurant had their tyres slashed between 11pm on Friday, April 6, 2012 and 8am on Saturday, April 7, 2012.
Investigating officer PC Tim Campany of the West Wight Safer Neighbourhoods team said, “This behaviour has caused hundreds of pounds of damage. Three of the vehicles damaged belonged to holidaymakers.
“I’m appealing for anyone with information, no matter how small, to contact us please. This area is a popular location for anglers who may have seen whoever was responsible for this damage.”
