It was that time of the week again when we head up to the IW Radio studios to have a chinwag with mid-morning show DJ, Tom Stroud.
With a bumper number of events on the Isle of Wight over the weekend, there was lots to get through but we started with details about arty events.
Starting next Tuesday will be a new exhibition at Dimbola Lodge which focuses on the history of the Black Knight and Black Arrows rockets that were developed and tested at the Old Battery in West Wight. Check the events details for more info of opening times etc.
Tomorrow and Saturday sees an artists and markers sale takes place in Cowes, showcasing ten Island artists, the sale is a great opportunity to pick up a bargain or two.
Starting tomorrow is a new exhibition, Melt, by VB favs Michael Forrest an David Knight. A pair of very talented young artists, this collaboration is sure to be a great hit in the cafe of Quay Arts. all welcome to the drinks reception on Saturday night between 6-8pm.
Shifting from art to fitness, if you’re looking for something different on Saturday and want to support the great efforts of Darren and Skinny from the Ventnor Boxing Club then head to the Winter Gardens from 3pm. An afternoon of amateur boxing is on the cards as a grand tournament arrives in Ventnor. Twelve island boxers will be competing against mainland rivals with some big names in the world of amateur boxing cheering them on from the ring side.
