At the weekend, we were reading through the latest Forward Plan (we really know how to have fun) and noticed that the entry for the Review of the Ventnor Botanic Garden (the basis for our August article) had been removed.
We got in touch with the Cabinet member responsible, Cllr George Brown, who wrote back to us this morning to explain why the item has been removed.
He told VB , “The reason for the removal of the item relating to the future of Ventnor Botanical Garden was that Directors decided that it should be included in the main December Cabinet Report – The Future Shape and Structure of the IOW Council and Medium Term Budget Strategy 2011/14.”
So it looks as though the decision that was intended to be made at tomorrow’s Cabinet meeting will now be delayed until December.
