Ventnor Fringe Festival returns at the end of next week. Taking place over ten days (19th-28th July) the festival has spread far and wide across the town since that first event in 2010.
To make it easier for festival-goers to get around the different venues, including those planning to drive to the town, a Park and Ride Shuttle Bus service has been planned.
This has been no mean feat, as organisers of the Fringe have had to form a new bus company in order to get Dept for Transport approval to run the service.
From midday to midnight
From midday to midnight, the shuttle bus will call at Ventnor Rugby Club, Park Avenue (for Fringe Village), Ventnor Botanic Garden, Ventnor Boots (for Town Centre venues), Madeira Road (for open studios – daytimes only) running in a loop. Timetable to be published shortly.
Buy your 10-day pass
A ten-day Ventnor Fringe Park and Ride Shuttle Bus pass costs just £20 in advance (£2 per day) and you can use it as much as you like.
Buy your pass online from Ventnor Exchange Box Office. Tickets bought on the bus will cost £2 per journey. Parking at Ventnor Rugby Club will cost £5 per car, per day.
Open to all
You can use the shuttle bus to get back and forth from the car park at Ventnor Rugby Club or if you don’t need to park, simply use the ticket to hop and off around the town to various venues.
Ventnor Botanic Garden are thanked for their support in sponsoring the new service.
