It’s not a paper we normally read ourselves, but VB forum member Viscount Ventnor pointed us in the direction of this great review of the Isle of Wight (and ‘gorgeous Ventnor’) that appeared on the News of the World on Sunday.
Writing for the paper, Douglas Wight (yes that really is his name) tells readers that “The Isle of Wight is a bit of an enigma. You either love it, or you’ve never been.”
During his trip that took him around the Garden Isle, with his young family in tow, he stayed in what he refers to as “Ventnor, a gorgeous former Victorian town set among zig-zag roads on the hill overlooking the Channel on the south coast. ” He got that right!
Despite a couple of factual inaccuracies, Douglas gave us ‘the festival isle’ a glowing report which is sure to attract more visitors to the Island over the sumer season.
Anyway, we won’t give it all away, read the article in full for yourselves.
