Takings must have been down around Ventnor on Saturday night and Sunday as the _only_ cashpoint in town, at HSBC had crashed and wasn’t giving money out.
I’d heard about it at DiG on Saturday night and was surprised to see it was still out of action on Sunday morning.
Pretty worrying that in this day and age when banks are always telling us that threats on our identify surrounds us, that it is at all possible for a cashpoint to go wrong. It’s not like that it’s function is much different from when they were first introduced nearly 40 years ago (Reg Varney of “On the Buses” fame being the first to use it!).
Shows how much we rely on it really.
