Many thanks to Angi for writing up a review of the event and providing details of the winners. Ed
The Festival has been rated by all involved as a big success. The competition took place in a very relaxed atmosphere under the kindly eye of adjudicator Christopher Brown.
He also gave a choral workshop on the final evening which was a great success and enjoyed by all the singers who took part. It was a shame though that there weren’t more spectators both at the competitions and at the choral workshop.
There were some very special moments which were witnessed by only a handful of people, one being the guitar playing of little Dream Lawrence, who went on to be awarded the prize for Best Novice in the Festival.
The Festival ended with a varied concert given by Prizewinners, other participants and past winners. Awards were presented by Susan Scoccia and Rev Graham Morris compèred the event.

We’re already planning for 2008. If you took part this year, encourage others to have a go next November at THE VENTNOR MUSIC FOR FUN FESTIVAL.
