Food on shelves in Ventnor Community Foodbank

Ventnor’s Community Foodbank has fed 763 people in the last 12 months

Congratulations to Tony and his trusty team of volunteers at Ventnor Community Foodbank, as well as all those who donate goods and money.

Tony shares this round up from the last 12 months. Ed

In 2021, Ventnor’s Community Foodbank has fed 763 people – 494 adults and 269 children.

We have also given 42 parcels to families of children at local schools and helped many others through our partner organisation, Baby Box Isle of Wight.

We couldn’t have achieved this without the tremendous work of our fabulous volunteers and the support we have had from the community in Ventnor. The donations of cash and produce have kept us going – donations from individuals and from business and our faith communities.

Thank you
A particular thank you to our kind landlords at Ventnor Baptist Church, to Ventnor Co-op for their regular supply of produce and Five-a- Day for supporting with fruit and veg vouchers. Many thanks to everyone that has helped.

Thanks to Mark Evans at Newport Congregational Church and Faith Stickland of the Real Junk Food Project for helping to source so much fresh produce over the Christmas Holidays.

No referral or vouchers needed
We do not require vouchers or a referral – so if you need help please just turn up at Ventnor Baptist Church in Pier Street on Tuesday and Thursday mornings between 10.00am and 12.00 noon or ring us on 07862 247694 or send us a message on social media
