Security has been stepped up at the Vestas plant at St Cross Business Park in Newport following the march of around 200 people onto the grounds on Saturday afternoon.
We understand that fencing has been erected at the rear of the building and further fencing erected around the balcony where the workers protested from for 18 days.
The new fencing at the rear has been designed to be able to open easily to allow vehicles in and out of the grounds and we’ve heard that a small group of protesters have set up base there to monitor activity.
