Whether you lived on the Isle of Wight during the 1980s or just visited as a holiday-maker, you may remember this TV advert below.
It’s recently re-surfaced on social media and was first shown in 1984. The Island’s beautiful sandy beaches are highlighted, and glimpses of what there is to see and do.
The ad ends by dubbing the Island, ‘The Friendly Isle’. The production values are quite a contrast to the Visit Isle of Wight TV ads shown last year (see below).
