The fire at Island Learning Centre in Lake last week surprised and shocked the Island.
Since then, in quick succession, the story has unveiled: police let it be known they thought it could be arson, then it was announced that building, previously the site of Broadlea Primary School, was so badly damaged by the fire, that it would have to be demolished. Later a teenager was arrested on suspicion of arson.

Over the weekend, Richard Manser of Island business SafeSite IoW sent a remote control drone up over the site – capturing shocking results.
Beyond the glass entrance area, there’s close to nothing left of the school. It’s utter devastation.
The mini bus, where the police believe the fire began, is clearly visible, burnt out.

Here’s two starkly contrasting images. One from Richard’s video footage, the other, Google maps, before the fire.
