As we mentioned earlier in the week, on 13th-14th August a new festival is coming to Ventnor Botanic Garden aiming to raise much needed cash for the iconic attraction.
The Healing Festival brings with it an opportunity for visitors to the Botanic Garden to experience a variety of healing therapies.
The aim of organisers is to make people aware of their health, of different healing treatments and energies, the importance of breathing, diet and exercise and how it can lead to a healthier lifestyle, physically, mentally and spiritually.
There’ll also be a beach clean, children’s fancy dress parade and workshops with free entry.
Appeal for help
Organisers are now on the look out for ‘friends’ to help at the entrances, car-park stewards, people to direct visitors and shake donation boxes etc.
If you’re a whizz at baking, how about rustling up something for the cake stall?
There’s also an appeal for raffle prizes and any other fund raising ideas.
