Thanks to VB reader Sharon for sending in these couple of pics of a large jellyfish that washed up on Island shores last week.
The jellyfish which is about two feet wide was spotted on Sandown beach just in front of the Driftwood Cafe.
We’re not sure how often these sea jellies get spotted around our coasts, but apparently, some varieties are a food specialty.
We’d advise, however, just staying as clear as possible from them
