We’ve had some pretty bonkers weather on the Island today.
Hail stones the size of Tic-Tacs, glorious sunshine, dark clouds and apparently a water spout!
We just thought it was heavy rain, but according to the BBC, the Island played host to this unusually named phenomenon earlier today.
What’s a water spout?
We’re not talking about the end of the watering can. It’s when cool air meets warmer than average water and apparently there was one off the East Sussex coast yesterday too.
VB reader, Barry Grant managed to capture it taking place over Ventnor this morning.

We put a comment up on Facebook about the weather earlier and got a variety of responses from around the Island, so sounds like everyone has had a mixed bag today.
