West Wight Men in Sheds expands its facilities thanks to anonymous donation of £4,000

West Wight Men In Sheds have opened a separate workshop for its woodworking machinery. And have started to turn the old workshop into a separate area for its members to work on projects, away from all the woodworking machines.

West Wight Men In Sheds (a registered charity) has been raising funds to expand its facilities over the last twelve months using Just Giving, an online fundraising platform.

Waldock: Donation has made a big difference
While the campaign was live, they had an anonymous donation of £4,000.

David Waldock, a Trustee of the charity said,

“I would like to say a big thank you to the individual for their donation.

“It has made a big difference to what we were able to buy and do to complete the build.”

Other support
West Wight Men in Sheds has also been supported with a grant from The WightAID Foundation, as well as assistance from Sydenhams Ltd and YBS Insulation that enabled them to convert the shipping container’s interior to a workshop.

Dedicated to the late John Baldwin
The new workshop has been dedicated to their late workshop guru John Baldwin who died earlier this year after a short battle with Pancreatic Cancer.
