The Isle of Wight has got to be one of the best places to see live music (there’s always so much on) and this Friday dishes up another three bands perform live for your pleasure in Ryde.
The Wight Rock Bar, dubbed the best micro venue on the Island by VB, will play host to previous Bestival Band Competition winners, Hugo Frusslinky.
Rob Da Bank says of the band, “I heartily recommend this rambunctious rock’n’roll with soul!”
The four piece have also been described by NME as the best band out of the Isle of Wight since The Bees and this Friday sees the return of Rob Light on bass.
Following the release of their new EP and warming up for a London gig, Hugo Frusslinky are sure to rock your pants off on Friday night.
Joining them on stage – not at the same time – will be Great Outdoors.
If you’ve not seen them play live before, take Glyn Taylors word for it, “Great Outdoors are very visual on stage, musically experimental, doing things differently.”
Here’s a little taster of their musical skills …
Finally another Island band Strange Days, will take to the stage for your pleasure. This five piece made up by Mike Le-Ray, Marc Dyer, Murray Clack, Nate Webber and Sesa Van Dyke, all names you’ll recognise from other bands around the Island.
All this for just £4 entry.
Call 615500 to book your tickets as there’ll be limited entry.
