Coming up near the end of the month there’ll be a chance to take part and enjoy a new literary festival on the Isle of Wight.
The idea is to bring together a season of events to celebrate, encourage and involve writers of all kinds, ages and backgrounds at a range of Island venues.
There’ll be all sorts of events happening over the three weeks between 24th September and 15th October, including, book launches, performance poetry, theatre, musicals, storytelling, song writing and short films with a literary theme will be presented by local and mainland artists over the festival period.
It launches at Quay Arts on Monday 24th September at 2pm, starting with a pitching competition hosted by Screen South. This will be a great opportunity for writers and directors to face a panel of film industry experts and convey their ideas in one minute! If you have a brilliant idea for a film or screen play, you’ve got two weeks to get your pitch together.
We’ll be adding the full list of events to our diary over the coming week, there are over 30 events to take part in, so no excuse for getting involved.
