Isle of Wight ferry company, Wightlink, have been awarded Ferry Operator of the Year for “excelling in customer satisfaction, sustainability, and community support”.
The news was announced at National Transport Awards last night (Thursday) at the Westminster Park Plaza in London.
NTA: Wightlink continues to lead the way in the Solent region
National Transport Awards stated,
“With impressive figures like a 96.4% customer satisfaction rate in 2023 and a market share of 54.6%, Wightlink continues to lead the way in the Solent region.
“Their focus on employee satisfaction, local supply chain support, and environmental initiatives sets them apart in the industry.”
Wightlink CEO Katy Taylor says,
“We’re thrilled to be named ferry operator of the year at the National Transport Awards. It’s all thanks to the hard work of our crews and colleagues at Wightlink’s six ports and eight ferries who always put our customers first.”
Transport Minister Simon Littlewood MP told the audience,
“Transport workers are the backbone of our economy – connecting communities and driving growth.”
