This is the Wild Oats very first show….another proud Ryde bit of vibin going on! read te following from Spikes site… The beauty in spikes music is its raw simplicity, occasionally blended with unorthodox timing. This combination allows his vocals to take the lead and encapsulate the songs with an intense presence.
Having only played a handful of gigs spike is already gaining compliments from across the board. “Fantastic, assured confident performance. Demands our attention with passion and feeling….This performance gave me goosebumps” (Jim Mew-Universal, Wight Noize auditions 2006). He approaches his music with honesty and passion and believes strongly that music should never be forced and should always feel natural.
Often to understand and fully appreciate the material, you have to listen closely to the lyrics. Questions, opinions, views, experiences both his own and others are laid out by spike in his own unique melodic and poetic way.
