You’ll all remember the fuss that was made back in April, when Prince William decided to use his trip to the Wight (for his cousin’s stag do) as a training session in an RAF Chinook helicopter.
Well, it turns out that his snub of normals means of transport to the Wight, in which he picked up his brother along the way, as well as another four over the past few months have cost the UK taxpayers a mighty £50,000.
That’s some training budget!
The Ministry of Defence claim that the trip to the Wight cost a mighty £8,716.
Makes Wightlink Ferries look relatively cheap!
