The weather forecast is looking great for Wolverton Folk and Blues Fair on Saturday (10th May 2025, with bright sunshine expected all day.
Taking place in the grounds of Wolverton Manor in Shorwell, the event runs from 11.30am to 8pm and promises a full day of music, food and family activities.
Raising funds for vital causes
Since 2011, the festival has raised money for Teenage and Young Adult Cancer Care. It also supports Brighstone Primary School, deepening its roots in the local community.
Now a firm fixture in the Island’s calendar, the Wolverton Folk and Blues Festival attracts growing numbers each year.
Live music from top folk and blues acts
This year’s line-up includes special guest Steve ‘West’ Weston, known as one of Europe’s leading blues harmonica players. He will perform with his band, The Bluesonics.
Rising folk group Piskey Led, hailing from Cornwall and Wales, will take to the stage, along with the UK Blues Award-nominated Stompin’ Dave Electric Band.
Other confirmed acts include The Hanging Baskets, Damien Paul Band, Something About Mondays, The Bohemians, Chasing Scarlett, and The Ohmz.
Local talent and acoustic sessions
The line-up also features East Cowes Shanty, Lee Signey (aka The Infamous Rooster Fish), RazorJake, The RUG Band, Hugh Wright sings Bob Dylan, Ruby, and Moonshine Border Morris.

A second stage returns inside the Beer Tent, giving visitors the chance to hear some of the Isle of Wight’s best folk and blues musicians in a more intimate setting.

Festival extras for the whole family
Festival-goers can enjoy a Real Ale beer tent, a traditional tea tent and a range of children’s activities. There will also be Morris dancing and craft stalls throughout the day.
Set in the scenic West Wight countryside, Wolverton Manor provides a picturesque backdrop for this popular event.

Advance tickets cost £12 and are available from several Island outlets. Tickets can also be bought on the gate for £15. Children aged 12 and under go free.
