Young trailblazer’s triathlon twist: Swapping swimming for rollerblading in Isle of Wight charity challenge

This Sunday (4th June) Ten year old Charlotte White of Ryde is donning her rollerblades, bike and trainers in a huge effort to raise funds for the Isle of Wight branch of the Cats Protection as she completes a unique triathlon for the charity based around the corner from her.

Charlotte is autistic and loves all animals – especially cats! Over the past two years she has completed various challenge events raising over £2,500 for the Island charity.

New triathlon
This year she looked for a new challenge and came up with the idea of a Triathlon, but not that keen on swimming before cycling she has decided to swap that leg with rollerblading instead!

“I will give it my best go”
Charlotte says,

“I’m a tiny bit nervous about the event, and like I always do I worry that I won’t be able to complete it, but will give it my best go!”

She will set off from Sandown early on Sunday, making her way to Newport before branching off towards East Cowes and then finally finishing at The Sloop in Wootton.
