Whether you’re just looking for a view of a lifetime or are a fitness fanatic, an exciting new event is taking place in April in aid of two leading children’s cancer charities.
The event takes place at the start of April at the iconic BT Tower and the challenge in place consists of climbing 843 stairs to the top of the iconic BT Tower – as Dame Ellen MacArthur says, “This is such a rare opportunity to be able to view London’s iconic skyline and historic buildings.”
Only 270 places
With only 270 people have the chance to registered for the event and the one and only Ellen MacArthur attending in aid of her own charity, the event will be one to remember.
The charities involved are the Ellen MacArthur Trust and Barretstown – two innovative charities with the common goal to rebuild the confidence of young people affected by cancer.
The event takes place on April 7th and there are two unique opportunities for you to show your support and get involved.
Raise money for charities as well
Every person taking the stair challenge will be asked to raise £100 in addition to a £25 entry fee, while breakfast costs £50 per person. If getting to the top in 22 seconds via the lift sounds a much more appealing option to you, then you can still enjoy the view with a £25 donation.
If you’re someone who likes to reward themselves, then you can join internationally renowned yachtswomen Ellen for breakfast at the top of the tower, with the £50 per head going to the two charities – between 8am and 9.30am
Easy option too
Alternatively, if you’re not an early riser then you can still tackle the 34 floor ascent to the Tower’s summit – the equivalent of 24 double-decker buses end-to-end, and make the most of the spectacular views over – looking London, whist raising funds for the Ellen MacArthur Cancer Trust and Barretstown – from 11am to 4pm.
Ellen’s excited about the event, saying, “We are looking forward to an action packed day and hope that we get 270 people to take the stair challenge.”
