Here’s something to take your mind off the currently inclement weather.
Back at the tail end of the sixties, dear old Rolf Harris caused quite a lot of merriment with his performance of Jake the Peg.
Jake was born with three legs, you see. The song goes through various stages of Jake’s life and explains why having this third leg has caused some difficulty.
Of course children sat glued to the goggle box trying to work out which of Rolf’s three legs wasn’t real, and this being in the age before video recorders and no repeats, there was only a single chance to do all of the working out.
Here’s your chance to watch it and analyse it in minute detail, thanks to YouTube.
Once you’ve seen it, you can grab a broom and practice your version of it for the day.
