The Isle of Wight fire service were called to a bus fire this morning in St Margaret’s Glade, Upper Ventnor.
They say the fire on the single-decker school bus required one hose jet and four breathing apparatus.
No passengers were involved.
The call arrived at 9:44am and by 10.10am the bus was “well alight”.
The road was closed whilst the fire is dealt with. Southern Vectis have diverted the route three bus via Whitwell.
The 10:05 route 3 from Newport will divert via Whitwell, we currently have vehicles stuck in Upper Ventnor. Will keep you updated.<MD>
