There have been some possible but unverified sightings of missing Crystal Palace man, Robert ‘Robbie’ Gibson today in the Newport/Carisbrooke area (Monday).
Robbie has been missing for four weeks today (Monday) since he was caught on CCTV in Shanklin Co-op on 13th June.
Joe Duggan, Robbie’s close friend and one of those involved with the search for Robbie told OnTheWight,
“The response of people on the Island has been great, with several possible unverified sightings awaiting police investigation.
“We really don’t want to get people’s hopes up, but we do encourage people to be extra vigilant and contact the police if they see someone who looks like Robbie.
“We believe he is in a vulnerable headspace and are extremely concerned about his wellbeing. Robbie’s friends and family in Crystal Palace have been really moved by the great community response on the Island.”
Please keep an eye out wherever you are, but particularly in the Newport/Carisbrooke are.
If you see Robbie, get in touch with police by calling 101 or the charity Missing People on 116000.
