A number of police officers were involved in the search and arrest of a suspected thief on Monday.
Police were called to a report of the theft of a bag and camera from a 72-year-old man from East Sussex.
The items were said to have been stolen from a bench opposite East Quay, Kite Walk, Wootton at lunchtime on Monday (20th October)
Police have confirmed to OnTheWight a 12-year-old boy was arrested on suspicion of theft a short time later nearby.
He has since been bailed until 5th November pending further enquiries.
