I saw this! I’ll forgive them – it’s clearly meant to be quite abstract!

I’m not sure that “enjoy” is quite the right term.

Typical posturing really.

Their phoney and superficial inclusiveness is just further betrayed by the lack of the IOW.

Someone said this to me yesterday, I’m pretty sure the image is abstract enough to justify leaving off smaller details like the Isle of Wight, Isle of Man and the Isle of Portland. With the poster featured I was more concerned they had replaced Ireland with ocean…

The other image in the set (probably by the same team) does feature the Island:

Vince’s absent mindedness is of no interest to anyone then? In the coming days I’m sure the electorate will take an interest in no-nukes Clegg, if that doesn’t tempt them, maybe the illegal immigrant amnesty might? Failing that, surely the Britain surrenders to the EU policy will do the trick? I think Dave Cameron is home and dry, this is all just a diversion to keep us… Read more »

once again your mistaken. I have never posted a ‘clip’ of any sort about that topic. There is however a link to the article Mr Justice mentions further up on this thread. It was posted by Jack The Hat, not me.

Actually I prefer vote Clegg, don’t get Cameron
and attacking someone for having rich parents is funny coming from a Cameron supporter.

and…apparently its OK to ripus off aslong as it was before the scandalwas exposed.

You have to love Dr. ‘Spin’ Justice for his dedication to his cause

to be honest, although Clegg did well in the debate, the more I think about it Brown might well be better. I think he would have more power within the Labour party if he is actually elected as PM by the country, not in a labour leadership vote. Cameron has repeatedly demonstrated that he may know what needs to be done, but he has no idea how… Read more »

Tell me Jon what has Brown actually done for this country? He has had years as Chancellor – and then blames others for the financial state of the country. Don’t forget the Countries assets he sold. He has backed foreign countries taking over manufacturing, power and banking. He is an unelected Prime Minister who has taken this country to the brink. I can’t think of anything that… Read more »

Yes I have but the world has not reacted in quite the same way as Gordon. Other countries have planned what they are going to do and stuck to it, Gordon is chuck money at everything without thinking through the implications. He believes money is the answer to everything and in the process has nearly bankrupted our once great country. The planned approach works as is shown… Read more »

Helen the Labour line is ‘global financial crisis.’ You must always use those exact words if you’re pretending that Gordon and Labour are innocent bystanders, this is what they themselves always say.

Typical argument for those with no head for politics or news. over 120 new hospitals for a start. Patients waiting more than 6 months for treatment fallen by 60% University and education reforms that saw 36% of teenagers attend university..an all time record (but still one of the lowest in Europe) Masterminding the end of the IRA and return to democracy in Ireland Devolution of Scottiish Paliament… Read more »

Remid me, islebeseeingyou, when was this country “once great” certainly not in my time and certainle not since WW1 – we haven’t finished paying for that yet and it was this administraytion that finally paid of the debt we owed the U.S. for WW2 in 2006. I would suggest that we have not been Great since Victoria passed over – I really don’t know who to blame… Read more »

The selling of our assets was a cross party decision…He has supported foreign investment in the country. And unless they have changed the rules..when you elect a Prime Minister who then resigns, the deputy Prime-minster ( or Chancellor etc) takes over..that is part of our democracy and what we all vote for. Other countries came out of recession earlier, and have now fallen back into into. Britain… Read more »

Very sympathetic No5. The hospitals Labour built have a serious problem. They didn’t pay for them! One pound in every four Labour spend is borrowed and this still doesn’t include those schools and hospitals they always talk of. Major projects were built on PFI’s, like our council’s glorious roads programme. It’s debt by another name. The cost of these PFI schemes will cripple our economy for decades… Read more »

I’ll refer you to No 5s comments for what Gordon Brown has done. I do agree that he is unelected, and should labour lose the election I dont see Brown surviving the leadership challenge. In a way, that would be good as labour could be led by someone else, but I dont think anyone else stands out at the moment. At the end of the day, politicians… Read more »

I didnt agree with everything Mrs T did, but she had balls. The Faulklands proved that. If she had been labour she would have been the best PM this country ever had.

Labour’s response to this crisis has been hopeless. My family have been stuck in Egypt since Thursday with no word of advice about what to do to get home. All Gordon Brown cares about is Nick Clegg

Actually the governement paid £160 million towards a cost of £230 Million, the balance was paid by PFI..which I accept is far from wise. But a policy that will be continue and increased under a Tory Leader.

I agree Clegg and Brown in a Collaboration Government is becomeing my ideal

You honestly believe Mr Tax and Mr Tax it more are the right people? I can’t afford any more tax, pleased you can. Haven’t you taken on board what British Businessmen are saying, people who know about the economy not the likes of Brown who stands by what he learnt at his fathers knee. rather them than Cameron, who seems to have no idea how hes going to find the money apart from reducing services. We’ve all seen that on the Island. Big promises at the election, then a couple of years later big cuts when the tories realise they cant afford their promises. Nationally theyre promising cuts, so imagine how much worse those cuts will actually be. Brown is saying… Read more »

Forget Westminster – Whoever becomes PM it will not make one iota of difference to the man on the street.

Think what’s best for the IoW – Use your vote or you will not be able to moan.

I know who I’m voting for. and it’s for CHANGE.

Sorry Jon, Labour are already spending 53% of GDP, it should be 35%. One in every four pounds is borrowed, we’re in a terrible mess, whoever wins cuts are essential to avoid becoming bankrupt. It a question of do you trust the man who ruined our finances or the people who handed over a near perfect economy in 1997? Only the Tories can fix Britain.

Then don’t expect any services.

Britain pays less tax than loads of European countries and we moan the most.

A response to a volcano? what do you suggest Gordon Brown does to counter the most powerful force on earth? The navy is now being used to transport some people back to britain. I agree that maybe this should have been done sooner, but at least its being done now. And to be fair, it does take time to put advice and assets in place.
