Here’s a positive story for today – The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Air Ambulance have received an unexpected bequest of £155,378 from the estate of the late Mrs Doreen Taylor, who resided in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
Boosts like this are great for this vital service, which has undertaken over 1,400 missions since its start date of 1 July, 2007.
We called to congratulate Air Ambulance about this financial boost.
The service costs £85,000 per month to run, so although the bequest sounds like a huge amount of money, it’s actually under two months worth – so the message is, please don’t stop giving. As Chief Exec, Julian Marczak told VB, “We’re always grateful of donations – large or small.”
