£2,000 Easter takings stolen in Shorwell pub burglary

Police are appealing for witnesses and information after a safe containing around £2,000 of Easter takings was stolen during a burglary at a village pub on the Isle of Wight.

The incident occurred in the early hours of the morning on Tuesday, April 2 at around 3.20am, when someone broke into The Crown Inn, Walkers Lane, Shorwell.

Anyone with information can contact police on the Isle of Wight by phoning 101. Information can be given anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
