As you’ll be well aware, there is a national postal workers strike across Britain today, but the Island won’t be directly affected.
Early this morning we called the Communication Workers Union (CWU), who represent the postal workers, to find out which parts of the Island would be seeing strikes.
As today’s industrial action is taking place only in the internal mail distribution of the Post Office, the Island won’t see any of it, as that infrastructure isn’t here.
Mail deliveries are expected Island-wide today.
Tomorrow will be different, with deliveries across all areas of the Island being affected, except Ventnor, which the CWU tells us doesn’t have many union members.
