Last week, entertainer Christopher Biggins hosted a reception for St Catherine’s at BAFTA.
During the reception Christopher Biggins was joined by Matt and Charlie, two learners from St Catherine’s Further Education Centre.
Both spoke about St Catherine’s School, their classes, the residential activities and how they have progressed.
As they explained “It was a brilliant evening. Biggins was very, very funny and made everyone laugh.”
Christopher was so impressed with Matt, Charlie and everything he heard about St Catherine’s that following a request from Charlie he agreed to join the charity as a patron.
He explained “St Catherine’s is an amazing charity and I feel very privileged to be part of the team going forward.”
Suzanne Hudson, Director of Development, explained “We approached Biggins given his remarkable ability to communicate through TV, film or the stage.
“Charities very rarely get the opportunity to work with the individual of their choice. Fortunately for St Catherine’s, Biggins is an exception to the rule and immediately expressed an interest in assisting us to raise awareness of this spectrum of disabilities.”
