The concern over the future of the Military Road is the subject of a key conference for the Isle of Wight Association of Local Councils (IWALC) which has been organised by the Ventnor Town Council.
The meeting which takes place next Wednesday (2 June) evening at the Winter Gardens from 6pm, hopes to galvanise action on the Military Road.
Experts provide background
Key speakers are expected to provide a deeper understanding of the problem itself and a potential engineering solution, the socio-economic impact of closing the Military Road, the impact on tourism, the effect on businesses and the environmental impact of the proposed solution.
The public are welcome, space permitting, but this is an IWALC event so there won’t be any public participation.
