New reaches us that the former Isle of Wight Chief Executive, Joe Duckworth, is moving on from his position at Newham Council just two years into the role.
Sound familiar?
It should do, it’s the same amount of time he spent here on the Isle of Wight before leaving for pastures new, back in June 2008.
Of course, his £150,000 a year Isle of Wight salary became chicken feed when he moved to Newham, where it’s reported he was rewarded with £240,000 a year! The country’s highest-paid chief executive no less.
We notice that his little Ventnor bolt-hole, which he’d been renting out since leaving the Island, is now up for sale.
