How great is that to have on our doorstep?

Amazingly under 19s, or anyone in full-time education (with an NUS card) and accredited Film makers of any age will be able to get in to the short films for free.

All you need to do is fill in the accreditation form and email it, with any questions you may have, to Louisa at [email protected].

Only £10 for everyone else
Everyone else will be able to get a weekend day-time pass is only £10!
That ticket that will let you watch films all day Saturday AND Sunday (day time). Amazing value when you think how much it cost to go to see a single film at the cinema these days.

Bruce Webb
It’s part of the Minghella Film Festival 2011 and the brainchild of Island film maker Bruce Webb, whose film The Be All And End All opened the Minghella Film Festival last year.

VB sat down with Bruce for twenty minutes or so to chat through what’s on offer and how you go about getting a short film festival started. [audio:http://otw-audio.s3.amazonaws.com/bruce-webb-minghella-short-film-event.mp3]

More than the films
It’s not just about seeing the films in the cinema, the team has arranged other areas at CineWorld to help you.

Film maker’s area
Practising and budding film makers will be able to swap tips and experiences in the Film Maker’s Area with people from around the world.

VideoTech
In the VideoTech, you’ll be able to request any of the short-films that have been submitted on DVD and watch on the screens provided. Karena will be on hand to make suggestions of the short of film that might appeal to you.

If you want to make films, be involved with films, or even have a look at if you might want to explore this idea in the future, this event has been designed for you.
