Bovril Sisters Brings Nostalgia To The Royal

Thank you to the Royal for sponsoring this feature. Ed

Only seven days to go until a weekend of vintage fun takes place at the Royal Hotel in Ventnor. For those who love dressing up, wonderful food and cocktails this is the event for you.

Islanders can grab a piece of the Royal Revival by booking tickets for the opening night, which sees the return to the Island of the wonderful Bovril Sisters.

We saw the lovely ladies, an Acapella trio who perform 1930s hits of the Boswell Sisters, a few years ago when they were here for the Jazz Festival and they were fantastic.

Start the evening with cocktails
The evening starts with a Bellini Cocktail (made famous by Harry’s Bar, Venice in 1930s) in the conservatory with the first set from The Bovril Sisters.

Dinner reservations will be taken between 6.45pm and 8.45pm for the three course evening meal, during which resident pianist Simon Fricker will entertain on the piano.

Fresh back from a stint in the USA, Island magician, Aaron Isted will be performing table magic and The Bovril Sisters will perform a second set later in the evening.

Tickets for the event, which include a three course evening meal are £55 per person.
