This Thursday (1st March) sees the return of World Book Day and VB chum and manager of Waterstones in Newport, Paul Armfield, is planning to do his bit.
Paul tells us that he will aiming to visit as many schools as possible during the day, reading a story in each one.
Even though we think Paul’s great, he’s no superman, so he won’t be able to get around to every school, but hopes, he says, to manage around a dozen from Yarmouth to Nettlestone.
Spreading the love with World Book Day vouchers
“Every year students across the country are given vouchers which they can exchange for free books and each year only a small proportion of these vouchers are redeemed.
“I hope to make sure that every student on the Island makes the most of this opportunity and knows that they can come into the store and get the gift of reading for free.” said Paul.
We think this a a fab idea and look forward to hearing how it went for Paul.
