After the packed meeting last night, we spoke to Chris Kidd, Head Gardener at Ventnor Botanic Garden (VBG) about the future after the takeover.
We chatted about the strong turn out; his views on the takeover; the Garden being a Community resource for the Isle of Wight; touched on charging for entrance; some of the extraordinary Conservation work they’ve been doing at the Garden; the land they own over the Undercliff Road and how it might be used by school children.
