Items ‘connected to crime’ spark Police search at Parkhurst Forest

Thanks to those who have been in touch reporting Police activity this weekend in Parkhurst Forest.

We got in touch with Police who told VB, “At around 3pm on Friday, August 24, a dog walker in Parkhurst Forest found a number of items believed to be connected to crime. Police were called and the area was cordoned off.

“A cordon still remains. There is no danger to the public in the area. It is believed the items have been there for some time and are not connected to recent activity. Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are continuing their investigation.”

They were keen to stress that the search is not connected in any way to the disappearance of missing teenager Damien Nettles.
