Two Island-based writers, Hannah George and James Whitehouse, are filled with joy this morning after the CBBC series they co-wrote won a Royal Television Society (RTS) award last night.

Wolfblood, which they wrote two of the episodes for, was picked as best Children’s Drama at the RTS Programme Awards from a short list of three.

Commissioned for series two
Prior to the award, the BBC demonstrated their belief in the writing pair by commissioning them to write another four episodes for the second series of Wolfblood.

Hannah told OnTheWight, “James and I are absolutely thrilled the first show we’ve written for has won such a prestigious award. Wolfblood has also been nominated for a Nickelodeon Kids Choice Award, up against The House of Anubis which we also wrote for, so fingers crossed for both!”

Join her at this year’s Isle of Arts
You can join in Hannah’s celebration at Isle of Arts Festival this year, as she is MCing an evening of comedy at The Boathouse between 8.30pm – 10.30 on Sunday 21st April, 2013
